International Flights
It is recommended you have completed check-in at least 2 hours before your
international flight is due to depart. However, due to increased security
requirements on all flights operating to, through and from the USA, it is
recommended you allow at least 3 hours to complete your check-in at the
following airports: Auckland, Nadi, London, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Apia and
Tonga.
First Class

Carry-on Baggage Policy for flights to, from and through the USA
Due to the current security processing required by the USA Federal Aviation
Administration, passengers travelling in all classes are allowed to bring only
one piece of carry-on baggage, not to exceed 115cm or weigh in excess of 7kg,
plus one personal item such as a purse, lap top or briefcase.
Cabin Baggage
First, Business and Star Alliance Gold customers may take 2 pieces of baggage
with a maximum combined dimension (length + width + height) of 115cm each.
Maximum weight of 7kgs per piece.
Checked in Baggage
If you are travelling to or from the USA, US Territories and Canada, or between
New Zealand and Germany or the United Kingdom via North America, your baggage
allowance will be based on size. You are allowed two pieces of baggage per
person, neither of which may exceed a total dimension (length + width + height)
of 158cm (62in). Within this size allowance, neither piece may exceed 32kg in
weight.
On all other international journeys your baggage allowance is 40 kilos. No
single piece may exceed 32kg.
Business Class
Business Class passengers are entitled to carry two bags onboard, which when
added together do not exceed 115cm, or 7kg in weight.
