Self Service Check-in - Qantas QuickCheck
QuickCheck is a self-service check-in for domestic e-ticket customers travelling
from Sydney , Melbourne , Brisbane and Canberra that will allow you to check in
for your flights in less than 60 seconds. You'll find the easy-to-use kiosks
conveniently located in each of these domestic terminals.

Check-in
As a First customer you have the freedom to check in up to 60 minutes prior to
your flight departure time. The staff at the dedicated First check-in counter
will ensure you receive your boarding pass quickly and efficiently, so you can
comfortably make your way through to one of our exclusive lounges.
For international departures from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne there is a
dedicated First Class lane at immigration for Express Immigration Clearance (at
London Heathrow only).
Business Class
Check-in
As a Business customer you may check in up to 60 minutes prior to your flight
departure time. The friendly staff at the dedicated Business check-in will
ensure you receive your boarding pass quickly and efficiently, so you can make
your way to the exclusive Business or Qantas Club lounge to relax before your
flight.
For international departures from Sydney , Brisbane and Melbourne there is a
dedicated Business Class lane at immigration for Express Immigration Clearance.
Complimentary Limousine Service
Book First and Business Class and travel to the airport in style with a
complimentary limousine service to take you to and from London Heathrow
Airport (up to a radius of 55 miles).
Fast Track through Security
Is available for First and Business Class passengers.

Your baggage travels with priority baggage tags to ensure it is among the first
off the aircraft. Generous First Class baggage allowances give you plenty of
room.

Qantas international ports, you'll be welcome to use either a Qantas Club
lounge or an associated lounge.
Business Class- As an international Business customer, before your flight, you
are invited to access any Qantas Business lounge. Where a Qantas lounge is not
available you can also access the lounges operated by a oneworld
airline. The oneworld airlines are Aer Lingus, American
Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair , Iberia , and LanChile.

Both First class and Business Class-
To improve the in-flight experience, a unique LED cabin lighting system* has
been exclusively designed for Qantas. The first of its kind in the skies, the
system adjusts the interior ambience of the cabin in line with the time of day
and onboard activities, making flying more relaxing.
* Progressively being introduced on B747-300 and B747-400 aircraft from July
2003.
First Class Ameneties
Qantas have selected a range of luxurious skincare products and personal
grooming items for our First amenity kit to ensure you feel refreshed from the
moment you step onboard. The amenity bags have been designed exclusively for
Qantas by Oroton , Australia 's leading fashion accessory brand. In the women's
kit, there are a number of products from leading Swiss skin care specialists La
Prairie to create a beautifully presented gift. For the men's kit items from
the new ClarinsMens range have been selected. You'll feel like you've never
left the ground.
The redesigned and spacious bathrooms provide you with all the necessities to
ensure your complete comfort whenever you feel the need to freshen up. Items
include hand cream and soothing mist by La Prairie, and soft, fresh cotton hand
towels.
Business Class Ameneties
Your Business amenity kit* offers a range of premium skincare products and
personal grooming items to help ensure you arrive feeling refreshed and ready
for business. A selection of L'Occitane products for both men and women come
presented in a stylish toiletries bag for your use.
The exclusive Business bathrooms provide all the necessities to freshen up,
including cotton hand towels and a range of L'Occitane skincare products.
* Not available on B767-300/200 and B737-800/400/300 aircraft.
First Class
Enjoy the level of dining you would expect to find in a five-star restaurant.
Every meal in First has a distinctive Australian style that also reflects the
diversity and flavours of the countries we fly to.
Select a dining style to suit your needs, whether it's a full restaurant-style
experience, an express-style meal, or simply a snack in the middle of the
night. The dedicated Flight Attendants will take your breakfast order before
you go to sleep, allowing you to maximise your sleep time.
The bar is opened before take off so you may choose the drink of your choice -
be it premium French Champagne, beer or juice. Once in the air, choose from a
range of top quality spirits, international beers and wines. To finish, indulge
in a glass of port or liqueur.
Business Class
The in-flight cuisine is all about choice. Select from a full restaurant-style
experience to a faster, express-style meal, or simply a snack if you feel
peckish in the middle of the night. The new room service style breakfast allows
you to select your meal before going to sleep, enabling you to maximise your
sleep and set your own schedule. The menus are updated frequently and include a
wide variety of options including healthy choices. Also, the new in-flight bar*
gives you the flexibility to fix yourself a drink or snack.
* The in-flight bar will be introduced progressively from late September 2003 on
three-class B747-400 aircraft. These aircraft will initially fly to London ,
Hong Kong , Singapore and Bangkok followed by Los Angeles and New York from
early 2004. European and other Asian destinations will be included once Skybed
has been installed on A330-300 and two-class B747-400 aircraft, from mid 2004
and end 2004 respectively.

Trans-Tasman Change
Between Australia and New Zealand , we offer a fresh new style of service
and product. New features include:

entertainment systems - Total Entertainment , and the award-winning Mainscreen
entertainment .
If you are flying to and from Los Angeles , New York , London , Frankfurt, Paris
and Johannesburg you will experience Total Entertainment. See new release
movies and TV shows, play Q Games or sit back and relax listening to Q Radio.
International flights that do not carry the Total Entertainment system will
carry the Mainscreen entertainment - winner of the AVION awards for Best
Overall Inflight Entertainment 2003.
Entertainment - International First and Business
B747-400 Services
You will experience Total Entertainment if you are travelling on one of our
B747-400 services to and from Los Angeles , New York , London , Frankfurt,
Paris and Johannesburg .
From your personal touch screen choose from 18 video channels, including 12
channels of new release movies and six television channels including sport,
documentaries, current affairs, and Nickelodeon on Q for kids.
Other features include Short Cuts short films, dual language films in Japanese,
Italian, French and German, Skyline satellite news and weather, Q Games and Q
Radio audio programs.
Your Total Entertainment system also has PC power for laptops and a personal
telephone.
In First our Q Film Library includes premiere, world, classics, Australian and
family titles that you can select and play at your leisure.
In-flight Communication
In-flight SMS
In September 2003, Qantas launched a world first - an inflight SMS service with
a reply option. Now you can send and receive text messages* from the comfort of
your seat.
The SMS service allows you to send messages of up to 160 characters to any SMS
compatible mobile phone or e-mail address and is available on all B747-400^
aircraft.
Seat to Seat Calls
You can make and receive calls from your in-seat telephone to other passengers
on the same B747-400^ aircraft. The calls are free of charge, however you will
be required to activate your telephone handset to receive incoming seat to seat
calls.

your seat pocket.
PC Power Outlets
So that you will no longer require an adaptor for your laptop, we are
introducing AC PC power across our three class B747-400 fleet. This facility is
available in First and Business on all scheduled London flights from Sydney and
Melbourne # and is being progressively introduced on other routes. View the
Skybed rollout schedule for when other three class B747-400s will be available.
In all other seats in First and Business, our 15V DC power system enables you to
operate and recharge your laptop inflight. An adaptor is required to connect to
this power system. We recommend the Targus Universal Auto/Air Power adaptor.
The adaptor can be purchased onboard from our Inflight Duty Free, In Sky S
hopping or from major electronic retailers.
Telephones
On the reverse of your in-seat handset is your own personal SITA SATELLITE
AIRCOM telephone that connects you to friends, family, and business associates
across the globe.
First Class
Enjoy the latest in entertainment with your personal entertainment system. Your
21cm (8.4 inch) touchscreen is built into the armrest. PC power outlets and
telephones are available in your seat so you can communicate while you fly.
Each seat also has an individual fibre optic reading light on a flexible stalk
making it easier to read.
Experience Total Entertainment from your new larger 21cm (8.4 inch) touch screen
Choose from 18 channels of video entertainment, including 12 movie channels
screening the latest movie releases and six television channels. You also have
a choice of ten Q Games channels. Many of the movies onboard are pre-Australian
cinema release.
Our First Q Film Library offers 50 titles to choose from. The library is
constantly updated and includes premiere, world, classics, Australian and
family titles. Select the movies you want to watch and play them at your
leisure, knowing that your noise-reduction headsets will provide you with
premium sound quality.
Business Class
Our inflight entertainment lets you enjoy the latest blockbuster movies,
non-stop on all international flights. On shorter flights, you'll enjoy
television comedy, sport plus news from Australia and the world.
Now Showing - Qantas Total Entertainmen
You will experience Total Entertainment on our B747-400 services to and from Los
Angeles , New York , London , Frankfurt, Paris and Johannesburg .
From your new larger 26.5cm seat-back screen * you can choose from 12 movie
channels including the latest new releases, six television programs, and ten Q
Games channels.
We are also introducing new in-seat entertainment in our fleet of B747-300.
If you'd like something to read, our Business magazine rack offers an array of
business and leisure magazines and newspapers to suit every taste.
Note: Mainscreen entertainment is featured on some B747-300 and B767 services.
* In-seat screens are offered on all B747-400 aircraft. 26.5cm screens are only
available in Business on B747-400 aircraft fitted with Skybed
Your Sleeper Seat in First Class
On B747-400 aircraft you can relax in your full length First sleeper seat. Or,
if travelling with a companion you may choose to share a quiet space in one of
our three pairs of side by side sleeper seats. Use the controls at the end of
your armrest to move your seat, legrest and lumbar positioning from a relaxed
reading position, to completely reclined on your bed. And, even in a sleeping
position, the width between the armrests is 54.6cm (21.5 inches) so there is
plenty of room between you and your neighbours. Then relax with your cosy
duvet, soft lambs wool blanket and oversized linen pillow and enjoy the best
flights sleep you ever had.
You will also receive a complimentary First sleeper suit to maximise your
comfort and reduce the crush on your clothes.

business class bed, with added features that will be unique to the Qantas
Business experience.

The new Qantas International Business Class sleeper seat Skybed has again been
recognised for its excellence, receiving one of Australia 's top design

Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture.
Skybed is now available on all scheduled London flights from Sydney and
Melbourne*, and on all scheduled Hong Kong flights^ from Sydney , Melbourne ,
Brisbane , and Perth . Skybed is being progressively introduced on other routes
on which 3 class B747-400 operate - initially to Singapore , Bangkok and then
Los Angeles and New York . Other Asian and European destinations will be
introduced once Skybed has been installed on A330-300 flights (from August
2004) and 2 class B747-400 flights (from May 2005).

Your 'Dreamtime Seat'
In 1979 Qantas was the first airline to introduce Business Class. Now we are
perfecting it by creating a more comfortable environment for work or play -
with comfortable seats, restaurant quality cuisine and more.
Selected flights offer our 'Dreamtime Seat', offering five-way electronic
adjustment. You can adjust your position for maximum comfort using the touch
controls that are in your armrest.
Five separate individual motors drive each silent movement - adjust the
seatback's independent support for your shoulders and upper back, move your
lumbar support in and out, recline or raise your seatback, raise or lower the
legrest, and extend or retract the footrest. For your comfort, the pitch of the
seat is 122cm-127cm (48-50 inches). The headrest has adjustable ears for
lateral support and the height can be varied.
