Beiruit Luxury Holidays
With the Mediterranean spread in front of the city and the mountains behind, Beirut is a city long famed for its amazingly diverse architecture and great location, but more recently it's the uber trendy, new luxury hotels, restaurants, bars and lively nightlife that are making it a real talking point in the travel industry. The city has been rebuilt several times, with modern architecture sharing space with Ottoman and colonial French buildings.
Beirut is a thriving hotspot for shopping, sightseeing and socializing with its cosmopolitan restaurant scene, a fantastic mixture of cuisines to choose from and sophisticated nightlife. The bustling streets of Hamra and Ashrafieh provide a fantastic nightlife while the National Museum and the Gibran Museum give visitors a taste of the city's history. Beirut is returning to its position as one of the Middle East's cultural capitals.
Beirut experiences a Mediterranean climate, with its highest temperatures being July and August. This small capital has just the one public beach area, down south at Ramlet El Baida. However elsewhere around the capital are an abundance of must see landmarks, such as Jeita Grotto and Pigeon rocks, and famous museums and galleries such as the National Museum of Beirut and the Beirut Art Center.
