Iceland Luxury Holidays
Famous world-wide for being the best place on earth to witness the natural wonder of the Northern Lights, Iceland is also home to fantastic sights and experiences such as the steamy waters of the Blue Lagoon.
Reykjavík is its hip and trendy capital and although it's the least populated country in Europe it's incredibly lively and trendy, with an exceptional range of exciting things to see and do.
Depending on what you want to do Iceland's a great destination to visit anytime of year, its summers are surprisingly warm, lush and green, with days lengthening until midsummer, when the sun dips down to the horizon but never sets. During winter you can marvel at the amazing, undulating green, blue, yellow and pink lights of the aurora in the night sky, and the winters are not as cold as you might imagine.
All year long you can take a dip in Iceland's thermal waters. In many places the natural hot water is used for space heating and to fill swimming pools, and of course the boiling, bubbling hot springs are an extraordinary sight. This is particularly true in the Geysir area, where the geyser Strokkur produces a high column of boiling water every 15 minutes or so.
Iceland's countryside includes the opportunity for rewarding hikes and remote wilderness. The continent's largest waterfalls can be found in Iceland as well Europe's largest desert plus volcanoes, glaciers, lava, geysers and thermal pools, everything to create a spectacular luxury holiday tour.
