Sri Lanka is the 'teardrop' of the Indian Ocean, a country of rich colour, breathtaking beauty and delightful contrasts. The entire island is home to an abundance of exotic birds and wildlife including elephants and leopards. The cuisine is delicious and the locals are friendly with an easy smile, meaning that wherever you are, you're made to feel very welcome.

A typically tropical climate with no marked seasons. The weather on the plains and the coastal areas is hot with average temperature of 27°C but in the hills around 20°C. The wet season is from May to July the western, southern and central regions, while in the eastern region it is december and January.
