Canyon Ranch is a leader in developing new ways to maintain health, prevent illness and treat chronic health conditions. Led by Vice Chairman Richard Carmona, M.D., the 17th Surgeon General of the United States (2002-2006) and Corporate Medical Director, Mark Liponis, M.D., who, together with other health professionals provide a personalised approach to wellness, working with you to design a health care program tailored to your needs.

Canyon Ranch maintains a 3:1 staff-to-guest ratio. This includes physicians, nurses, psychologists and counsellors, exercise physiologists, nutritionists, movement therapists, acupuncturists, fitness instructors, tennis and golf pros, aestheticians, massage and bodywork therapists, hiking and biking guides and support staff.

HEALTH & WELLBEING PACKAGES
Canyon Ranch is an “all-inclusive spa resort,” where there is never a need to wait for a check or worry about tipping. Guests enjoy a stress-free stay and take advantage of the many celebrated services using the “Service Allowance” included in the package. This allowance can be used toward any of the wide variety of health and wellness consultations, spa or sports services, and the amount is dependent upon the length of stay of the package. Guests may also purchase services à la carte above the included allowance.

The weeklong Life Enhancement Program takes place in The Life Enhancement Center – a separate 17,000-square-foot spa and health center designed to provide a supportive setting for small groups of people who share common life-improvement goals.

Periodic group programs such as Thriving With Arthritis, Journey: A Women’s Retreat and The Power of Spirituality: Transformation From Within focus on shared medical, wellness and lifestyle concerns.

You can exercise to lose weight, practice Pilates or yoga to shed stress, or hike and bike desert canyons, among other exciting outdoor activities. Swim or immerse yourself in low-impact water exercises at the Aquatic Center or in any one of three inviting outdoor pools. Golf on spectacular nearby courses or fine-tune your game at the Golf Performance Center.

Facilities include the climate controlled, 80,000-square-foot Spa complex includes six gymnasiums, a spacious Pilates and Gyrotonic studio, exercise and weight training rooms, squash and racquetball courts, a yoga/meditation dome, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with sauna, steam and inhalation rooms, whirlpools, private sunbathing areas, a comfortable relaxation lounge and fully-equipped vanities. Also in the Spa are skincare and beauty salons and massage and body treatment rooms.

Additional facilities include seven lighted tennis courts, basketball court, and three outdoor pools. The biking and hiking programs use resort property as well as nearby mountain and canyon trails.

Canyon Ranch’s Golf Performance Center has professional staff and equipment for golf instruction and fitness training. The 3,400-square-foot facility includes strength-training equipment, practice areas and computer technology for swing analysis and video feedback.

The 11,000-square-foot Aquatic Center features three Watsu pools, a cross-training pool with conditioning equipment, an aquatic therapy pool and a whirlpool. Aqua exercise classes are offered daily.

You can choose from Deluxe or Executive rooms, Luxury suites and the splendid Casa Grande. Each offer a range of amenities that include a hairdryer, Cloud-soft feather beds ,Mascioni® luxury Italian linens , terry cloth robes, DVD, cable TV, stereo/CD player, mini-refrigerator, computer phone jack, wired or wireless Internet access, in-room coffee and tea service, amenity products, including shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

There are also outdoor areas with comfortable lounge chairs are perfect for relaxing, reading and absorbing the beauty of your surroundings.

Deluxe rooms have a queen, king, or two double beds, a desk and separate vanities.

Executive rooms are more spacious, with a sitting area and extra vanity.

Luxury suites are available with one, two or three bedrooms. They offer a master suite, living room, dining area, kitchen facilities, washer/dryer and patio.

Casa Grande is a complete, freestanding home. It offers luxurious, spacious accommodations for up to six people. The 2,700-square-foot suite features a gracious living room, full kitchen, dining area, washer/dryer and private patio. Additional amenities include a computer, printer and fax.
