Introduction to Coral Reef Club
Introduction
Superlatives abound in any description of this classic, Plantation-style resort. A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this family-run hotel is renowned for its impeccable service and fine cuisine.
The enchantment and romance of a bygone era is evident throughout this elegant resort – an impression reinforced by the fact that the O’Hara family has owned and managed the Coral Reef Club for over five decades and many of the friendly staff are long serving, making this a real home from home for some of the most frequent visitors.
Wander from the colonial-style clubhouse, past the gorgeous pool and through the fragrant tropical gardens and in a few moments, your feet are touching the pristine white sands of St James’ beach. Dotted among the mahogany, casuarina and frangipani trees are the pretty coral stone cottages that house the rooms and suites, all of which offer you the choice of either ocean, pool or garden views.
Complimentary water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking, water-skiing and sailing will keep you busy until sundown, and thanks to the west coast location, you can enjoy wonderful sunsets each evening. Snorkelling in the nearby reef is also a must as is the complimentary session with a tennis pro and the excellent cuisine courtesy of the hotel’s restaurant.
