The spacious rooms and suites each open onto a private balcony or terrace. Views are either of the ocean or a leafy corner of the 25 acres of tropical gardens that surround the resort. Interiors are a study in colonial style and sophistication, in cool hues of ivory and cream, marble bathrooms and separate dressing rooms.
The sense of a formerera is enhanced by the impeccable service at the hotel, with check-in held in the comfort of your room, and a member of staff at hand to unpack and iron items for you. Indeed, all rooms have a personal butler to attend to guests’ every need.
The Dining Room, built from tropical hardwoods and poised above the pool, serves gourmet cuisine inspired by Mauritian spices and flavours. More casual fare comes with the poolside verandah, offering light lunches, while delicious seafood and Creole dishes are served in a stunning
oceanfront setting at The Plantation. Here, live entertainment including traditional music and dance, adds to the ambience three nights a week.
When you’re not enjoying complimentary water sports on the lagoon from the superb powder white stretch of beach, play tennis, volleyball or take time out for a pampering treatment in the Sanctuary Spa where a wide variety of La Prairie treatments and therapies are available.
Other soothing activitie s include an hour’s Serenity Walk on the shore, yoga and meditation.
The Colonial Suites
Eight one bedroom suites each impeccably adorned with elegant furniture have been introduced to the resort. Four poster beds, expansive bathrooms and spacious terraces with panoramic views of the ocean come as standard. The sitting rooms are fully equipped for entertainment with
free Internet access, satellite television and in-house movie channels.
Five of these suites interconnect with the Oceanfront Rooms which is perfect for families and friends travelling together.
