Introduction to Birkenhead House
Introduction
Perched high on the cliffs just outside Hermanus, this spectacular sea view property is named after a British troop ship that sank in Walker Bay in the 19th century, and is part of Liz Biden’s Royal Portfolio, together with Royal Malewane and La Residence.
All 11 suites are furnished with antiques, most have ocean views and one has a spectacular
mountain view. From some of the suites you can watch the Southern Right Whales calving in season.
