This 19th Century, four-storey stone house boasts beautiful views across the bay of Vis. Originally owned by a local winemaker, Poets Corner has been resorted and is now a lovely family home. Well equipped and offering comfortable accommodation, it is close to many local amenities and is perfectly placed to explore the unspoilt island of Vis, known for its vineyards, olive and citrus harvests. It is also possible for guests to rent a private boat which is perfect for exploring the secluded coves and beaches on the island or for going further afield. For those who prefer to stay in the sanctuary of the house, there are two terraces which provide panoramic views of the sea.
VILLA FACILITIES • Sleeps Up to 8 adults. • Bedrooms 1-4: 3 bedrooms have 3 king-sized beds and the other room comes with twin beds. • Room Facilities: All rooms come with all modern luxuries and all apart from those on the ground floor come with air conditioning. • Staff: A maid service is provided daily for 2 hours or alternatively every other day for 4 hours. LOCAL FACILITIES • Watersports: A private boat can be hired with the villa upon request and watersports are available at beaches in the vicinity. • Restaurants: There are restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. • Shopping: There are shopping opportunities in the local town with the nearest being only 200 metres away. • Beaches: There are stunning Mediterranean beaches dotted throughout the island.
The four storey stone property is, as you would expect, extremely traditional in design however the current owners have restored the property beautifully, adding a few contemporary touches. All the rooms on the upper floors benefit from sumptuous views and the dining terrace on the top floor is a perfect location to watch the world go by. Downstairs, there are both kitchen and dining areas as well as a recreation room with television which suits the younger generation.
The island of Vis is located 27 miles south-east of Split and is a ferry ride away from the mainland. It takes in the region of 2 hours to get to Split airport. Distance to restaurants/shops/bars – 5 minute walk Distance to nearest beach – 2 minute walk
